Drawing on recent experiences from her ArtWorks Fellowship with Barbican and BALTIC, Christine Egan Fowler reflected on how non spaces can be used as studios. Using the stairwell as a passing place, the group investigated movement in a space. Working in pairs everyone read texts about passing places and relevant curatorial texts on stairwells. Simple questions were used to examine early experiences of creativity and how these are used, perhaps not consciously, in our current work. Christine talked about her fellowship and the collaborative opportunities offered during the fellowship year.
